Portage has a new Antique Mall and Resale Shop. It is located at 128 W Cook St. You have to enter thru the back door. They have some really nice things on 3 levels. Open 7 days a week. Their phone number is 608-742-2100.

 

Need something to eat-Stop at Krista's. She is located on W Conant Street. Follow her signs. She has an awesome Chicken Salad Sandwich, and get a Chocalate Chip Peanut Butter Cookie for dessert. STRESSED spelled backwards is DESSERTS. She always has glasses of fresh glasses of iced water set out.

 

We are also close to Amish Community. They have a General store, a cheese factory, buggy store, and a couple of furniture and woodwork shops. They have an awesome bakery on Kiefer Road, this is only open on Fridays and Saturdays 8:00-4:00. You have to try the Oatmeal Pie. It is like a pecan pie only made with oatmeal. Oatmeal is good for you, right.
